The Elijah Challenge Trainers Are Not Superstars

The purpose of Elijah Challenge Training is to train every believer to utilize his or her God-given authority to heal the infirm as they share the Gospel.

1. This approach means that we do not get invited back (Unlike Superstar healing preachers). After training, the believers in the church can organize their own evangelistic healing rallies. They have no need for us to come at all. Thus this means that we the trainers actually work ourselves out of a job… and that is our purpose.

2. If you were to check our websites, you will notice that we train believers from all types of churches. Big or small is not important. As long as the believers learn how to share the Gospel without fear of exercising their faith to show the pre-Christians the power of God and share the Gospel.

3. Like all preachers, we receive a love offering after we train or preach. In third world countries, we seldom receive love offerings and we have to pay our own fares and expenses. We live simply so that others might simply live.

4. To be fair to us, please do not include us with all the other ’superstar’ preachers who have the gift of healing. You will notice that during any Elijah Challenge rallies, the local Christians are the ones doing the healing. Benny Hinn never does that. He is the superstar and we are definitely not ’superstars’.

5. We only train the local believers and they are the ones who do the healing in the name of Jesus. We do not believe in a so-called “special anointing” on some individuals. We believe that the anointing is on the Body of Christ – all the believers in the Church of Jesus Christ.

6. We do not claim to have the gift of healing. We only know that Jesus has given His Church the authority and power to heal and preach the Gospel. When we point this out, believers who exercise their faith, would actually heal the sick in the name of Jesus.

7. Do all people get saved when you share the Gospel? No, not all. By expecting people to be saved, do you violate the sovereignty of God? No! In the same way, not all people get healed or saved when the trained believers minister. The key word is ‘obedience’.

We have to share the Gospel and people from other faiths will challenge our faith. However, when we heal the person in the name of Jesus, we actually earn the rights to share the Gospel with the healed person.

When the disciples of Christ could not heal the demon-possesed boy, Jesus said, “Because of your little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”(Matthew 17:19-20)

We trust that as we learn to exercise our faith, we will be able to move ‘mountains.

8. Having said that, please understand that the purpose of the miracles is to share the Gospel. That is the reason why in the Book of Acts, the Church continues to heal and share the Gospel.

9. In the New Testament, after every miracle, the glory is given to Jesus our Lord and the end-result is salvation of souls.

Healing and Miracles In A Houston Neighborhood

Pastor William just received a testimony from a college-age brother-in-Christ named Ossy. This young man had attended The Elijah Challenge Basic Training in Houston last August. After the Training, he decided to "step out of the boat and walk on water." He and his team went to a Houston neighborhood and went from door to door obeying the Lord's command to "heal the sick, and tell them, ' the Kingdom of God is near you.'"

Please read Ossy's exciting account of what happened. Keep in mind that this happened in HOUSTON, TEXAS in AMERICA, not on the foreign mission field. This can be a "new" model of evangelism in some US communities in obedience to the Lord's command to His disciples in Luke 10:9.

Please pray about doing this in your own community in obedience to the Great Commission.
---------------------------------------------

"Hey Brother William,

So good to hear from you! Well as I said, we went out to a "not so poor, but not so rich" lower middle class neighborhood to preach the gospel. The people were very receptive. We split up into two groups of four (there were eight of us). And we went ahead.

With my group, the very first person who we spoke with was RIPE and ready for the harvest! We barely even had to do anything. We just told him we were in the neighborhood sharing the love of God and praying for people's needs, and he opened up. We prayed for his mother who was on drugs and then he said he didnt have a serious relationship with the Lord, neither had he repented from his sins. So we all counseled him and prayed with him, and he was saved! Hallelujah!

The next house we went to, there was an elderly woman who could barely speak English. My sister and another friend who spoke a little bit of Spanish told her why we were there and asked if she needed prayer for anything. She then exclaimed that a nerve in her leg, from her hip all the way down to her ankles, had been bothering her.

We, immediately with excitement, began to rebuke the sickness and pain and had her test it out. She said it was a little better... so we prayed again. After the second time she was completely healed!

We were able to pray for a number of people and share the gospel with them... there was one more person who received salvation, and then I believe one more miracle was performed (with the other group). Another leg problem.

It was a great experience!! Thank you so much for your teachings AGAIN! I can't stop thanking God for your life!

We will do this again very soon. Hopefully in a poorer and disease-infested neighborhood.

God bless!
Ossy Ebadan

From 13 to 15 August, 2009, over 60 believers from 21 different churches,
both evangelical as well as charismatic, filled the meeting room of
Eddie & Alice Smith's US Prayer Center for the Basic Training.

Servant of God Instantly Healed From Painful Heart Disease

By Pastor William Lau

In Australia we were invited to dinner with a dear couple who have committed their strength, time, resources, and lives to serving the Lord Jesus Christ by ministering to the poor. “Robert” is eighty years old and had a heart condition for which doctors could do little. (In fact, they had been partly responsible for it.) For months every day he suffered from pain which would make him cry. He also suffered from painful arthritis in his leg and so limped around with the help of a cane.

After dinner---on the sidewalk just outside the restaurant---we laid hands on “Robert” in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, rebuking the infirmities and commanding him to be healed. At that moment he literally felt the Lord’s power surging through his heart. Shedding his cane he took off, walking briskly down the street for about a city block and then returning. There was no shortness of breath or weakness, and no more pain and limping from the arthritis.

Within a couple of days, “Robert” and his dear wife left for Asia on a scheduled mission trip. His wife reported to us that he has been walking miles every day with no problem in his heart, even in the dreadful heat.

A few weeks later she wrote us:
“Robert’s heart felt something happen when you laid hands on him. And he is not one to say things like that, believe me. He has had a strong heart and no problems at all since you ministered to him. …what God has done for an 80-year-old ‘modern missionary.’ You should have seen him buzzing around…the slum areas in the poorest of the poor areas of the world. God has indeed blessed us by calling us to minister to the Burmese people…such treasures…and we were God’s ‘superheroes’ for that whole three weeks with superstrength that only God could have given.”

Praise the Lord for the wonderful grace He showed to His faithful servants!

Are You Going To Heaven?

Are you are a good person?

Are you going to heaven?
Are you sure that if you were to die last night that today you would be heaven?
Watch this clip to the end and ask yourself sincerely.

Did Jesus command us to drive out territorial spirits, powers and principalities?

John 14:15 “If you love me, you will obey what I command.

It is clear that Jesus requires his disciples to obey his commands. Inversely, it follows that we are not required to do what he has not commanded us to do. What are some examples of his commands to the Church? Among other things, we are commanded to:

* love God (Matthew 22:37)
* love one another (Matthew 22:39)
* love our enemies (Matthew 5:44)
* preach the gospel (Mark 16:15)
* heal the sick (Luke 9:1-2; 10:9)
* make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20)
* take care of the poor and needy (Matthew 25:31-40)
* take Holy Communion (1 Corinthians 11:24)
* repent and be baptized (Acts 2:38)
* pray (Luke 18:1, 1 Thessalonians 5:18)
* praise Him (Hebrew 13:15)
* do good and to share with others (Hebrew 13:16)
* assemble together (Hebrew 10:25)
* live a holy life (Hebrew 12:14)
* forgive others (Luke 17:3-4)

These explicit commands as well as others are generally accepted within the body of Christ and are not controversial. What about actions that we perform which are not specifically commanded by the Lord Jesus or his early apostles? Should we be careful before attempting to perform such actions, especially if they involve the supernatural?

What might happen to us if Jesus doesn’t specifically command us to get out of the boat and walk on water?

Let us take the example of Peter who was seated in a boat on the Sea of Galilee when he saw Jesus walking on the water toward him. Peter was very impressed and wanted to walk on water just like Jesus. He wanted to perform a miracle just as he saw Jesus doing. But before he dared to step out of the boat, he waited for an appropriate command from Jesus.

Matthew 14:28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” 29 “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

When Jesus commanded Peter to “come,” the Lord authorized Peter to perform the miracle of walking on water. He was given the authority to do it. It was clearly the will of the Lord for Peter to perform the miracle. But what would have happened if Peter had not waited for a specific command from Jesus to come? It is obvious that Peter would have immediately sunk into the water after stepping out of the boat. He would have acted without being given any authority by the Lord to do so. None of us in our right mind would even think about stepping out of a boat on the high seas without first receiving a direct and clear command from the Lord to do so. Such an act would be the height of presumption and foolishness. Would the Lord be obligated to save us from drowning if we had in fact done such a thing?

Even though Jesus commanded him, Peter still sank in the water and put himself in danger

Note that even though Peter did receive the command from Jesus to walk on water, after some initial success he failed because of his little faith. His life was endangered, and he cried out to Jesus to save him from drowning. Of course Jesus heard his cry and saved him from the surging sea. But what might happen if we attempt to perform some supernatural feat without any command from the Lord to do so? It would likely be a failure and a waste of time and effort. Not only that, it could be dangerous. Peter’s life was put in danger. And in this case it is important to note that it was clearly the Lord’s will for him to perform the miracle.

Therefore the Church should be very careful to know exactly what the Lord commands us to do, especially in the realm of the supernatural. Even if it is in the realm of the natural not involving the miraculous, there can be risk in taking action which the Lord has not authorized us to do. For example, if we attempt to do business which is apart from the Lord’s will for us, there could be adverse consequences. How much more dangerous might it be for us if we dare to venture into the realm of the supernatural without a prior command and authorization from the Lord? If we do this presumptuously and find ourselves in difficulty, the Lord is not "obligated" to heed us when we ask Him to save us.

Jesus did not explicitly command us to drive out powers and principalities

Such is the case with directly rebuking and attempting to drive out what are known as powers, principalities, and territorial spirits. (We are not referring to intercessory prayer to God here.) The nature of such beings is not clearly understood from New Testament Scripture. In Daniel 10 we are perhaps given a glimpse with the references to the “prince of Persia” and the “prince of Greece.” But nowhere in Scripture---whether Old Testament or New Testament---are we clearly commanded to engage such beings, let alone Satan himself, in direct frontal assault.

It is clear from verses like those found in Colossians that “in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority (Chapter 2:9-10). Such verses, however, do not constitute a general and explicit command from the Lord for us to attack powers and authorities in a direct fashion by speaking to them and rebuking them in the name of Jesus Christ.

Even well-known verses from Ephesians cannot be used to support such actions.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

First of all, these verses speak of a defensive posture, not an offensive one in which we attempt to rebuke and drive out the rulers, authorities, powers and spiritual forces in the heavenly realms. Secondly, the foot soldiers of one army do not directly go after the generals of the enemy army. No, they will attack and kill the foot soldiers of the enemy army---only in that way will the battle be won. In the same way, the main business of the body of Christ on earth with regard to the Great Commission is to heal infirm people, to drive out demons from people, proclaim the kingdom of God to the lost (Luke 9:1-2), and to disciple all nations. Our time and energy should not be focused on fighting beings in the heavenly realms---something we have not been clearly authorized nor commanded to do. Rather we should take care of business on earth where we have been given the authority to “heal the sick, and tell them ‘the kingdom of God is near you.’” (Luke 10:9)

We should take care only to attack those enemies whom the Lord has commanded us to attack. The Lord has clearly commanded us to heal the sick and cast out demons as we proclaim the kingdom of God to the lost. But to attack a powerful enemy without a clear and direct command from the Lord to do so can invite danger to ourselves from that provoked enemy. The military analogy is valid. Soldiers in the military only attack targets directly specified by their commander. They do not go about attacking the enemy indiscriminately, anyone or anywhere or anytime they wish. If they do so they are in violation of their orders and can face consequences.

What about the authority to trample on “snakes and scorpions”?

Luke 10:17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”
18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

According to the context, Jesus had sent them out to heal the sick and proclaim the kingdom of God to the lost (Luke 10:9). This would have included casting demons out of afflicted people as they preached the gospel. When they returned victoriously from their mission trip, Jesus confirmed to them that he indeed had given them authority to drive demons out of afflicted people, referring to these beings as “snakes and scorpions.” These are demons whose activity, like the activity of non-flighted snakes and scorpions which symbolize them, is on the surface of the earth afflicting human beings. Their domain is not in the heavenly realms, and therefore they likely do not refer to “powers and principalities” whose activity is above. We have authority to overcome all the power of such snakes and scorpions, and they cannot harm us. But perhaps we cannot say the same of “powers and principalities.” If we attempt to engage these beings directly, the outcome could be in doubt---even dangerous for us.

It can be dangerous to try to walk on water if we have not been commanded to do so

Not only is it likely ineffective and a waste of resources to engage heavenly beings in direct combat, it can be dangerous. There are enough testimonies of servants of God who without authorization have gone after what are called powers and principalities in a direct fashion and suffered what could be considered counterattack. Some have suffered from infirmities and even death. They and even their families have gone through unnecessary trials because they have gone “beyond what is written.” They have gone beyond the realm of their authority and engaged an enemy in a battle the Lord did not command them to fight. This happened to the Israelites in the Old Testament.

Numbers 14:44 Nevertheless, in their presumption they went up toward the high hill country, though neither Moses nor the ark of the LORD’s covenant moved from the camp. 45 Then the Amalekites and Canaanites who lived in that hill country came down and attacked them and beat them down all the way to Hormah.

Under such circumstances the Lord allowed the Israelites to be defeated by their enemies. He did not save them, even if they had called on His name. Similarly, the Lord is not obligated to save us from retaliation when we engage the enemy in a battle presumptuously, find ourselves in trouble and then call on His name. Even if there is no enemy counterattack, we might still face trials because we have made the mistake of acting in presumption before the Lord. In contrast, however, the Lord did save Peter from drowning in the water because he had in fact commanded him to step out of the boat. But the Lord was not pleased with Peter and afterwards rebuked him for failing to complete the miracle.

How can one know that such “spiritual warfare” is in fact effective?

There is no way to measure the effectiveness of direct spiritual warfare against territorial spirits. There is no way of determining whether results on earth (if there are in fact any) are actually a result of such warfare. However, if we obey the clear commands of the Lord to heal the sick, cast out demons, and proclaim the kingdom of God, we will see visible results: people are actually healed and saved. Churches grow. The kingdom of God on earth increases.

In December 2007 I was in ministering in Benin, West Africa---known as the very birthplace of voodoo and black magic. After the Basic Training we held an Evangelistic Healing Crusade in the open air. At this meeting powerful miracles of healing took place as the trained servants of God ministered. A harvest of souls was reaped for Christ at that meeting. The next morning the King of the region, hearing about what had happened, sent us five of his elders with a message from him. The King wanted to hand over his region to the Lord Jesus Christ!

This took place without any spiritual warfare being conducted for the region. We simply obeyed the commands of the Lord to heal the sick on earth and proclaim the kingdom of God on earth.

If one is concerned about powers, principalities and “territorial spirits,” one should pray to God about them. And if it is His will He may send properly-equipped and powerful angels to war against them as happened in the time of Daniel’s 21-day fast in Daniel Chapter 10.

We can be both safe and productive for the kingdom of God

It would be safer and more productive for the Church to hold to a more literal and conservative interpretation of Scripture regarding what we are to be engaged in here on earth. Clearly we should obey his explicit commands. And teachings involving actions that are not explicitly commanded by him we should consider very carefully. Not only they may be optional, they may be a waste of our resources and some may even pose an unnecessary risk to our personal safety. Today more and more such peripheral teachings are circulating within the body of Christ.
Have we nothing better to do with our time and energy? Should we not rather “be about our Father’s business”---saving the lost as Jesus did?

Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

So what should we do?
(this section is added for those for whom the issue of "territorial spirits" is especially relevant)

When the people of a nation do not repent of their sins and do not believe in God and His Son Jesus Christ, by default they may in effect be "worshiping" the territorial spirits in the land. (A spiritual vacuum cannot exist for long---it will be filled by something.) This gives any such spirits the right to remain and to have authority in the land. In effect, it is of the free will of the people to allow the spirits to rule over the land. Where this is the case believers have no authority to drive out them out. God allows people to exercise their own free will and they will of course bear the consequences of it. The way to drive out territorial spirits---if indeed this is possible, for Scripture is not clear about their nature and does not specifically say that we can in fact expel them---is to preach the gospel with power and thus free the people of the land from the bondage of sin and unbelief. In this way, they will repent of their sins and thus no longer empower the territorial spirits if indeed this was the case before. The "powers and principalities" will lose their power and authority over the land.

We can understand this by looking at the 2008 Presidential election in the United States. American voters of their own free will chose Democrat Barack Obama as the one who would hold power and authority for four years. The Republicans and conservatives lost power by the will of the people and were forced to step aside. Since Barak Obama was legally elected according to the laws of the United States, the Republicans have no authority to tell him to leave office. We can see how it depends on the choice of the people. What is the role of the Church in this? We must preach the gospel with power and convert large numbers of people to Jesus Christ. In upcoming elections these believers will vote for the candidate who shares their values. In this way there can be a change of administration and direction. However, this wonderful scenario involving the Church will likely not take place.

Therefore intercessory prayer (and "spiritual warfare") all by itself is insufficient. We must put feet to our prayers and obey Christ's command to proclaim the kingdom of God with power to the lost and to disciple our nation. Only then "the kingdom will come" in America. The same is true for every nation under heaven. Whether or not the Church will actually do this is moot.

Why has this come about?

Perhaps we have become so involved with “optional” teachings because as committed and sincere disciples of Christ we truly want to advance His Kingdom on earth. But since we have not been taught how to obey the frontline commands of the Lord to win the lost, we busy ourselves with secondary concerns. At best they serve to distract us from doing what it takes to complete the Great Commission. At worst, they may be hazardous to our well-being.

Demonized Woman In Haiti Delivered

Last week, Pastor William Lau, our Director of The Elijah Challenge received a report from John Slionski, head of Army For God in New York. Earlier this year, John had viewed the online video of the Basic Training. He had recently returned from a mission trip to Haiti and sent us a report. Below is John's very exciting report!

----------------

My wife and I went down to Haiti with three others who are trained and we stayed in one of the worst areas down there for several days. We ministered to hundreds of people! A mute woman was healed and started speaking, people's backs and knees were healed. A little girl had a fever for over 2 1/2 weeks and they asked us to go to her house and minister to her. She was sleeping and she was 3 years old. We ministered in authority and as we were praying she started to sweat profusely, but she was sleeping the whole time.

After about 10 minutes we left. The next day her father showed up at one of our worship meetings we like to call "Atmosphere" and told us his daughter woke up with NO FEVER!!! We had him testify to everyone and he eventually brought her the next day and we got to play with her...it was amazing!

The last brief story I wanted to tell you was this one girl was demon possessed. She had come to our meeting and she was worshipping and I really felt to go and pray for her (she was about 45 years old). So I went over and laid hands on her head and started to speak in tongues. She was communicating back to me in Creole arguing with the tongues. So I commanded in English and my friend Jeff started to come over to command also. She did a front flip followed by a back flip we tried to hold her down and she bit Jeff in the arm but I finally got her secured. We started to pray and black smoke started to come out of her eyes, nose and mouth! It was crazy! The smell was AWFUL...like burning flesh.

After about ten minutes or so you the pastors from Haiti had gotten her up and sat her on the chair but Jeff knew she wasn't done and he began saying to her to open her eyes and claim the name of Jesus as your savior. She wouldn't do it for about ten minutes and when she finally did you could see the release. We have great reports since.

We originally went down there because we had a mission center that holds about 500 people there. Our first meeting had about 8 people...in seven days we had over 150 people worshipping Jesus there...including the demon-possessed woman!!!

THANK YOU JESUS. his power is so real and so powerful!"

Terminally-ill Woman Miraculously Healed from Total Organ Failure

Simon Chong attended The Elijah Challenge Basic Training in 2008 and the Advanced Training in 2009, both times in Cheras, Malaysia.

This is what the power of the Holy Spirit can do through you as we are the disciples of God. We have been given the kingly authority from God to heal the sick and cast out demons. We use mountain-moving faith to cast out demons and heal the sick as we have been taught through The Elijah Challenge. After I attended the Training, I have confidence and boldness to lay hands on sick friends and relatives in the hospital. Many are healed in Jesus’ name.

My own aunt had been admitted to University Hospital in Petaling Jaya on May 15, 2009 with total organ failure in her body. Only her heart was still beating. The doctor had tried to transfer 24 bags of blood and 30 bags of plasma but to no avail as all the blood and plasma came out.

The doctor said she had to go for an operation but the chance of survival was 50/50. But all her daughters and sons said no since she is 76 years old; let her to be with Jesus in peace. So she was immediately pushed to the ICU ward for immediate 24-hour surveillance.

The doctor said she had no hope. Her whole body was swollen and she had had no food for 15 days. I came to see her on the evening of March 6 and ministered to her using kingly authority to heal her in Jesus’ name.

I was so filled with joy when I received a call from my cousin the next evening informing me that my aunt had already been healed in Jesus’ name. Praise the Lord. I was so happy and I said, “Praise the Lord, praise the Lord.” She checked out of the hospital on June 19 and she is able to walk, eat and talk. “May all the glory be to God our Lord Jesus Christ.”

I received more encouraging words from my cousin. Two family members who heard me minister to my aunt from neighboring hospital beds had accepted Christ as their Savior. Nurses who knew about this miracle healing were very surprised too. All Glory to God.

Delivered From Demonic Oppression

This Canadian believer had been cursed as a child in his native Africa. The curse resulted in severe demonic torment in his life, including loss of hearing and ringing in his ears. Because of his disability he was unable to attend the Basic Training in Houston. Instead in early August 2009 he began studying The Elijah Challenge Training Manual..

"To help you better understand the unspeakable joy that I'm experiencing over the past weeks, it would be necessary to recall the time of despair that I went through prior to getting in contact with The Elijah Challenge.

Although in the eyes of people who knew me I looked OK, but on the inside I was defeated. The devil had gotten hold of me.

I had lost my business, lost my house, declared bankruptcy, moved in a noisy basement apartment, had to move again just 30 days later, was involved in a car accident that made my overall condition worse, lost the small job that I had because of my inability to hear, forced to be on welfare and unable to pay my rent and even buy groceries, just to name a few...

I had tried all sorts of therapies and the last one made my condition even worse. I had learned to be resillient but I was losing strength and confidence. I had started to lose hope.

How I came across The Elijah Challenge, only God knows. Upon reading the The Elijah Challenge web content on July 25, 2009, I knew IMMEDIATELY that I had mysteriously found the solution to my problem.

I'm back to life before even completing the reading of the Basic Training. The Elijah Challenge understanding of "faith of God" (or mountain-moving) has given me the wings to fly again.

In a couple of weeks, I have gained territory over the devil.

It wasn't just about my hearing loss & ringing ears.

It was a curse from childhood that had spread and severely affected my life in a negative way. Although I knew that there was something wrong I didn't have the courage to admit it. I was in denial partly also because I had no remedy for the curse. It was frightening. I fact I had lived my whole life in perpetual fear of almost everything including myself. I was controlled and tormented by demons.

Upon reading about the authority that I have over demons from The Elijah Challenge Basic Training, I became INSTANTLY free as if a divine revelation had taken place in my spirit to give me the power that I needed to overcome the battle.

Since then, I have been gaining territory every day: I feel stronger than ever before, confident, enthusiastic, hopeful, the ringing is decreasing, my hearing getting better, I started looking for a job confidently, I'm strongly determined more that ever to develop a STRONG, POWERFUL RELATIONSHIP with GOD through JESUS. I know without any shadow of doubt that I'm victorious, so victorious.

You may or may not know how inspiring, encouraging, and motivating it is to read your email that reflects the mountain-moving faith which is so indispensable in this process. The "faith of God" displayed in your email gives me the strength to keep on fighting violently in the spirit. Thank you for being sent by God to rescue me."

September 25, 2009 Update

"From July 25, 2009 when you ministered me for the first time [over the telephone] to September 25, 2009, there have been significant changes at various levels of my life that I feel pressed to express in updating you.

When I originally got in contact with The Elijah Challenge, the predominant issue that surfaced and needed healing urgently was hearing loss and ringing ears. But upon reading the Basic Training Manual and uncovering that there was a considerable demonic component that has affected my overall life since childhood, I have not only violently engaged the demons and gained significant territory over the past 2 months but I know based on the changes, that I have the authority and that total recovery is just seconds away.

Among the damages caused by the demons in my life were:

1. Total loss of the ability to speak my native [African] dialect at age 19:

Influenced by the demons through nightmares, I got up one morning and felt as if my brain was just like a stone and was therefore unable to think. Overnight, I lost the ability to speak my native dialect which I had spoken fluently just the night before. I couldn't explain what has gone wrong until I met The Elijah Challenge. On the one hand I had suspected the presence of demons in my life through a series of strange nightmares and circumstances, but on the other hand I was afraid to admit it because of the fear of facing the situation and hopelesness.

The understanding of the biblical principle that gives me authority over the demons has given me the POWER and set me free. After 30 years of loss of the ability to speak my native language, it came back in the name of JESUS as the demons are fleeing. I can now speak it! PRAISE THE LORD!

2. Inability to attract in my life a lady who could conceive a child:

This was curse-related as well. All the ladies I have married and dated with the intention of marrying had been infertile. I could hardly understand such a repeated coincidence. The curse was heavy. Now I know from the feeling I have inside that I'm totally cleared from that curse in the name of JESUS. With God all things are possible for those who believe. PRAISE THE LORD!

3. Feeling as if my brain was like a stone:

This was the part of the curse to stop me from being the kind of person God intended. That feeling is almost gone and I KNOW that in the name of JESUS it will disappear very soon. Now I can think clearly. PRAISE THE LORD!

4. Life dominated by extreme fear: Unknown fear

The fear of demons had infiltrated all aspects of my life and paralyzed me. The fear is disappearing and I KNOW total deliverance is just seconds away. I have the VICTORY in the name of JESUS.PRAISE THE LORD!

My hearing is coming back. My ears are getting opened. Although I'm still using an amplified telephone, I'm able now to have a phone conversation and hear better with my hearing aids. Two months ago I could not hear a word. Hearing is just around the corner.

Emotionally, I'm at the highest I have ever been in my entire life. I have met the REAL JESUS with The Elijah Challenge. He came to rescue me just ONE MINUTE BEFORE MIDNIGHT. I was at the lowest I had ever been, in a dark pit. I was TOTALLY hopeless. In my desperate situation I had lost control of my vision and was drifting toward a worldly life. On the inside, the devil had defeated me so badly. He had brought me to a point where I hated life and found life so unfair. Although I was still fighting from the outside, I was depleted from within. All my prayers had apparently gone unanswered.

I had lost my home (worth over half a million). I had lost a projected billion-dollar business. My health was so poor with no hope in sight. I started making arrangements with different deaf organizations to learn American Sign Language. I had reached the ONE MINUTE BEFORE MIDNIGHT.

Exactly at that time, JESUS knocked at my door. He knocked through The Elijah Challenge. A sixth sense directed me to the website and I knew upon opening it that the VICTORY was at hand and forever and ever.

I'm back, stronger than ever before and with a MIGHTY determination to serve God. I had promised Him that if He got me out of this situation, I would spent the rest of my life serving Him. Now the ball is in my court. I'm ready to serve HIM as JESUS did.

I have learned that even in the most desperate situation in our lives, God always has the upper hand. I have learned that even when our weakness seems to have the upper hand, God is always in charge. HE never loses control of the situation and HE can turn the most tragic situation into the most beautiful tapestry. He can turn the bad into the good, the ugly into the magnificent, turn tears into laughter. Demons have meant it for bad but GOD turn it for good.

I have engaged the process to find a job with a solid plan to put the kingdom first and help the world know the REAL JESUS, the SAVIOR of the world.

I thank you for being the intermediary between The Elijah Challenge and me and I'm FOREVER grateful for the role that you have played in helping me. Without you, I would have been TOTALLY LOST. I'm indebted to GOD. I thank God to have inspired and revealed the understanding of HIS POWER to The Elijah Challenge and I encourage you all to keep on following JESUS' example as HE is THE WAY, HE is the LIGHT.

I'll keep you posted upon completion of reading the Basic Training Manual for the second time word for word."
